I’m a second-generation stateless Chinese born and raised in Brunei. I currently work and live in Canada. Outside of my work as a cooperative developer, I’m a migrant justice organizer advocating for the rights of migrant students, workers, and undocumented migrants in Canada. I had the opportunity to work on the 2024 UPR submission on Statelessness in Brunei. I also had an opportunity to put on an anonymous artwork highlighting the identity and issue of stateless chin in the “Dan Lain Lain” exhibit by Borneo Alternative Art Collective. As a stateless chinese from Brunei, there’s not much opportunity to advocate and advance rights for ourselves so I look forward to being more involved in advancing justice for stateless people in Brunei and the widerr SEA region.
